Optical illusion wall art

An impossible staircase climbs forever and still ends where it began. Your eye follows the steps round, finds nothing wrong, and then finds everything wrong. These designs are built around that moment, and they keep working no matter how many times you walk past.

Cut in steel, an illusion gains something it doesn’t have on paper: depth. Hung on the floating hanger, the piece stands slightly off the wall and its shadow forms a second set of lines just behind it. As the light moves through the day, the shadow shifts and the drawing seems to change with it.

The collection includes the classic impossible staircase, spiral staircases that pull the eye inward, and endless loops of steps. They suit a study, a hallway, an office or a modern living room: anywhere a conversation piece makes sense. Because the drawings are fine, they look best at medium and large sizes, where every step stays clear.

Black on a white wall gives the sharpest, most graphic effect. Silver looks clean and technical in a modern room, and gold turns a staircase into something closer to an Art Deco ornament.
